A pneumatically actuated plastic (polypropylene PP) bodied butterfly valve, with an EPDM liner and PVC-U disc. The valve is operated by a powerful yet light and compact pneumatic actuator offering high quality components, supplied in either double acting or spring close/open versions. Our Industrial butterfly valve is Ideally suited for the control of flow in minimal pipe space.
The valve offers excellent flow characteristics with minimal pressure drop. Good mechanical strength and resistance to many inorganic chemicals, it is available from 2" up to 10".
This unit can be supplied as standard or with various additional options such as limit switches, pilot solenoid valves and Position modulating controller. Fluid and working temperature (please check resistance tables and temperature/pressure chart).
PVC-U Un plasticised Polyvinyl Chloride is probably the most used plastic on pipe installations. It is strong and rigid, it is lightweight and easy to install for both above or below the ground. PVC-U is odourless, has good chemical resistance and is tasteless. PVC-U is suitable for use at temperatures from 0°C up to 60°C
In addition, our pneumatic quarter turn rack and pinion actuator is sized with a 30% safety factor built-in, requiring a pilot pressure of 5.5 Bar and benefits from a Namur interface for both pilot solenoid valve and switchbox.
